Happy Birthday Hunter!

Our boy is 7!! We met and adopted Hunter last year on April 13. We had missed his birthday by 11 days. He has had to wait almost an entire year to celebrate his birthday for the first time. For months we have been hearing "When my birthday? Why so long?!" At last, as of yesterday, Hunter is 7! We started celebrating last weekend by spending 2 days at Disney and met up with the Secrists and their beautiful girl An who was from the same orphanage as Hunter. What a joy to see these kids home together with their forever families!

Hunter didn't know what to expect from the parks and of course, was blown away. At Animal Kingdom he about lost his mind when he saw kangaroos start hopping. On the safari ride at every turn he was exclaiming "Mom!!!! You see dat?!!! He was astounded by the elephants and the giraffes. He rode every ride fearlessly including Mount Everest, Big Thunder Railroad and Splash Mountain. The kids all loved the Kali river rapids and put up with Mom wanting to see the Hall of Presidents show. Hunter's favorite was Buzz Light year because he was allowed to shoot lasers at Robots. We had fabulous weather and the waits weren't too bad. Hunter gave Mickey the biggest hug and Lily told Minnie that she loved her makeup!

Last night we celebrated with lots of seafood and an ice cream cake Hunter was so excited. Then Jim camped out in the back yard in a tent with him last night. The end to a perfect 7 year old's day.

Hunter - we are so very proud of you. You are resilient, happy, smart and loving. We rejoice daily that we are no longer loving you from afar and that you are home with us for many more birthdays to come. You are a treasure from God. We love you, son!!!
